SUMAN Group Managing Director Dr. Xu Yanzhong Participates in Global Overseas Chinese Leaders' Conference and Business Exchange Visit to Henan

Dr. Xu Yanzhong, Managing Director of SUMAN Group, participated in the 11th Conference for Friendship of Overseas Chinese Associations, one of the largest international gatherings of overseas Chinese community leaders, held in Beijing from 13–15 July.
The conference brought together more than 400 representatives from overseas Chinese organisations across over 140 countries and regions. It provided an important platform for strengthening ties between China and overseas Chinese communities, while encouraging economic, cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
During the conference, delegates were welcomed by Mr. Wang Huning, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), who met with representatives attending the event. The opening ceremony also featured remarks by Mr. Li Ganjie, Head of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, highlighting the important role of overseas Chinese communities in supporting China’s development and promoting exchanges with other countries.
As a UK-based Chinese business leader and an active supporter of China–UK cooperation, Dr. Xu took part in the conference activities and exchanged views with government officials, overseas Chinese community leaders, entrepreneurs and business representatives. Discussions focused on practical cooperation, business links and the role of overseas Chinese organisations in strengthening communication between China and the United Kingdom.
Following the Beijing conference, Dr. Xu joined the overseas Chinese delegation on an exchange and business visit to Henan Province. The delegation met with Mr. Liu Ning, Secretary of the CPC Henan Provincial Committee, who welcomed the delegates and expressed appreciation for the contribution of overseas Chinese communities to regional development and external cooperation.
During the visit, delegates learned more about Henan’s economic development, industrial strengths and business environment through a series of meetings and site visits. The programme also created opportunities to discuss cooperation between Chinese and British businesses in areas such as manufacturing, trade, investment and innovation.
Dr. Xu said that China and the United Kingdom have strong potential for further cooperation in business, industry, education, technology and cultural exchange. He noted that overseas Chinese entrepreneurs can play an important role in helping companies in both countries better understand each other’s markets and identify practical opportunities for cooperation.
SUMAN Group will continue to support business connections between China and the United Kingdom, promote communication between companies and institutions in both countries, and contribute to closer economic, commercial and cultural ties.
